REGENERA: A hub for co-creating resilient healthy and innovative territories

REGENERA is the new RdA Climate Solutions hub dedicated to transforming territories through innovative and regenerative solutions.

RdA Climate Solutions has launched REGENERA, a hub dedicated to developing innovative solutions that support Portuguese municipalities in building more resilient, healthy, and sustainable territories. The initiative begins with the national diagnostic “Municipal Regenerative Potential”, which identifies opportunities for ecological, social, and economic regeneration across the country.

In a context marked by increasingly demanding environmental, social, and climate challenges, REGENERA aims to mobilize public and private stakeholders, as well as civil society organizations, to co-create transformative responses. Its approach integrates territorial analysis, technology, and community participation, promoting strategies that strengthen ecosystems, empower communities, and enhance quality of life.

The first public action of REGENERA is a simple and accessible 10-question digital survey, designed to collect strategic information on key factors driving municipal regeneration. The responses will be analyzed and consolidated into a diagnostic report, reinforcing transparency, knowledge sharing, and informed local decision-making. At the end of the process, all participating municipalities will receive a benchmark report comparing their regenerative potential.

REGENERA structures its work around four core areas, namely territories, intelligence, life, and community, enabling an integrated approach to the major territorial challenges of our time. The objective is to accelerate the transition towards more resilient, inclusive, and innovative territories, fostering a new generation of local leadership aligned with the climate and energy challenges of the next decade.
