RdA Climate Solutions awarded the R&D Seal

RdA Climate Solutions has been awarded the Selo ID, certifying its recognised capability to carry out Research and Development (R&D) activities.

Granted under the Portuguese Investment Tax Code, this recognition confirms RdA’s capacity to undertake R&D activities in these areas and reinforces the work the company has been developing in the creation and application of knowledge, methodologies and innovative solutions in the fields of energy, sustainability and climate change.

Over the past few years, RdA has participated in national and European research and innovation projects, as well as in the development of new approaches and tools focused on the energy transition, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability.

The Selo ID also strengthens RdA’s capacity to support companies and other organisations in the design, development and implementation of R&D projects, including under SIFIDE II – the Portuguese Tax Incentive System for Business Research and Development.

Under this scheme, the contracting of R&D activities to RdA, as a recognised qualified R&D entity, may be considered eligible for corporate income tax deduction, subject to the applicable conditions. SIFIDE currently provides for a base deduction rate of 32.5% of eligible R&D expenditure, with the benefit potentially reaching 82.5% of eligible investment and being carried forward in accordance with the applicable rules.

This recognition represents a further step in consolidating RdA’s commitment to research, innovation and the development of solutions with practical application and measurable impact on organisations and territories.
